Les raisons peuvent être variées : passeports coincés dans les méandres administratifs, œuvres en résidence prolongée chez l’encadreur, licences qui prennent leur temps, acquisitions de dernière minute… Résultat : certaines œuvres ont manqué le départ du camion pour Bâle.
Mais tout n’est pas perdu !
Dès cette semaine à la galerie, en parallèle de la foire, nous présentons Too Late for Basel, une exposition dédiée aux œuvres (certaines encore en vadrouille) qui ne verront pas Bâle cette année.
Jusqu’à la fin juillet, venez découvrir des œuvres de Victor Brauner, William Copley, Joseph Crepin, Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Hannah Höch, Man Ray, Claes Oldenburg, Wolfgang Paalen, Francis Picabia, Yves Tanguy et Ivan Tovar.

The reasons may be varied: passports stuck in bureaucratic limbo, artworks enjoying an extended stay at the framer’s, licenses taking their sweet time, last-minute acquisitions… The result? A few works missed the truck to Basel.
But we sorted it out!
Starting this week at the gallery, and in parallel with the big fair, we’re presenting Too Late for Basel — an exhibition of works (some still wandering around) that won’t be making it to the Messeplatz this year.
